Cartagena - Cafe San Pedro

Located across from the Estadio de Futbol (Soccer Stadium), Cafe San Pedro offers an eclectic drink and dinner menu. The chicken fusion was outstanding as was the chocolate soufflé. Street performers in the park provide fantastic dinner atmosphere.

Cartagena - Cevicheria Trattoria Benjamin Berger

Located 2 Blocks north of the Museo Naval del Caribe, La Cevicheria features some of the best ceviche in town. Just ask Benjamin Berger. Sizable wine and food menu including half a dozen vegetarian options. Outstanding service.

Cartagena - El Bistro

Located 2 blocks east of the Plaza de Bolivar, El Bistro is a lunch time favorite of Colombians and tourists alike. Affordable (< 12USD) European menu with Indian and Caribbean options. Complimentary expresso is a nice touch.

Cartagena - La Sandwicheria

Small menu of Arabic/Mediterranean style cuisine with Colombian flare. Everything is delicious. Restaurant is located alongside the lovely Plaza de San Fernando de Madrid in the San Diego barrio of the Historic city. Just a short walk from El Viajero Hostel.

Cartagena - Pizza en el Parque

Located in el Parque de San Ferdinando de Madrid, this is the most affordable pizza place in the old city. The atmosphere around this park is always incredible, and the pizza options are an interesting change of pace. The pear and bacon pizza was incredible.

Dibulla - Restaurante Tropical

Located on the main street of Dibulla on left before turning towards the beach, Restaurante Tropical offers typical Caribbean seafood at a fair price. Fried pargo (red snapper) with rice, salad, beans, plantains, and soup available for 10.000 COP. Friendly service and clean environment.

Palomino - Finca Escondida

A new beach-side restaurant opened by a young German lady. Great atmosphere and friendly service, but at 15.000 / plate, it is more expensive than you will find most places in Colombia...or Palomino for that matter.

Palomino - Restaurante de los Hermanos

If you're willing to make the 1km hike (or bike) into town, you will be rewarded by visiting Restaurante de los Hermanos. It is a typical restaurant, serving soup, beans, rice, salad, and choice of meat for 6.000 COP. Twice the food at one-third the cost of the beach-side restaurants.

Santa Marta - Agave Azul

A fantastic Mexican restaurant opened by two brothers from San Francisco, Agave Azul has made its name as a quality, affordable restaurant in Santa Marta's city center next to La Brisa Loca Hostel. Two huge enchiladas available for 15.000COP. Amazing steak "tacos" Full drink menu.

Santa Marta - Cocteleria Juancho

A local favorite, Cocteleria Juancho offers some of the best ceviche on the Caribbean coast. 10oz mixed or shrimp ceviche sold for only 8.000 COP, with 1.000 COP Club Colombia beers. Service is friendly. We recommend spending an entire afternoon gorging yourself on ceviche and beer.

Santa Marta - El Santo Argentinian Rest

Located just a block from El Parque de Novios, El Santo offers Argentinian quality beef and wine at Colombian prices. El Santo offers 2 for 1 mojitos from 5-8PM each night, and a spectacular desert menu. Go enjoy your vacation.

Santa Marta - Lulo

Located in the historic area between el Parque Bolivar and el Parque de los Nuevos, Lulo is a great lunch spot serving arepas, paninis, wraps, and smoothies. Vegetarian options available. Great portions for 8-10 USD. The juices are outstanding.

Santa Marta - Ouzo

Opened in 2011 across from the Parque de los Novios, Ouzo offers brick oven pizzas, first class atmosphere, a full cocktail menu, and top quality service. The grilled octopus appetizer, served over a bed of greens and olives is incredibly tender, and worth the trip in itself.

Taganga - Donde L'Italiano

Located across from the Hotel Taganga, just north of Santa Marta, Donde L'Italiano offers a varied menu, great ambiance, superb service, sizeable portions and excellent food, all for under 12 USD. Buon appetito!!

Valledupar - Buffalo Grill Parilla

A fantastic steakhouse drawing from the best of both North American and Colombian dining. BBQ ribs, juicy steaks, and mixed grill platters. Located in the Centro de Negocios Orbe Plaza.

Valledupar - Café Plaza Mayor

High end restaurant with menu options ranging from Italian pastas, seafood, vegetarian, steaks, and more. Nothing on the menu disappoints. Located in Plaza Alfonso Lopez. Continental breakfasts available as well from 7AM to 9AM each day.

Valledupar - Cevicheria El Manglar

Great Cevicheria with excellent shrimp cocktails, Mexican mangrove ceviche, and more. Excellent presentation and great price/value ratio. Located beside the Piko Riko de L.A. Go and enjoy!

Valledupar - Comidas Rapidas Jerry

A great little fast food stop with Colombian style hamburgers and chickenburgers, Salchipapas (french fries mixed with hotdog slices, lettuce, sauces, and more), all for less than $5. Convenient location and speedy service. Great for a late night bite.

Valledupar - El Joe Jr Restaurante

A very typical Colombian restaurant with great portions and a fun and clean atmosphere. Higher quality steak than you will find at most similar locations. Try the Salchipapa Joe, a local favorite for just 7.500 COP.
