Bars and Nightclubs
Cartagena - Cafe Havana
There is some dispute whether salsa originated in Cuba or Colombia. Cafe Havana offers the best of both worlds, with great music and salsa dancing for only a 7.000 COP door cover.
Cartagena - Vallenato Night Bus Tour
Bus tour starts at 8PM each evening from Av San Martín between calle 4 and 5 in BocaGrande. The tour runs 3 -4 hours before dropping everyone off at a discotheque.
Santa Marta - Ouzo
Opened in 2011 across from the Parque de los Novios, Ouzo offers brick oven pizzas, first class atmosphere, a full cocktail menu, and top quality service. The grilled octopus appetizer, served over a bed of greens and olives is incredibly tender, and worth the trip in itself.
Taganga - Hotel Mirador
A hotel with an indoor/outdoor discotheque on the rooftop with great music and atmosphere. The presence of hotel security and the club's location on the north end of town contribute to a more relaxed vibe than you might find elsewhere in Taganga.
Taganga - Sensation
The most popular discotheque in Tanganga, Sensation plays a variety of international experimental music with great ambiance. Located on Calle 1, 150m south of the police station.
Valledupar - Café Plaza Mayor
High end restaurant with menu options ranging from Italian pastas, seafood, vegetarian, steaks, and more. Nothing on the menu disappoints. Located in Plaza Alfonso Lopez. Continental breakfasts available as well from 7AM to 9AM each day.
Valledupar - Varadero
Best Restaurant in Town. Incredible seafood, great quality of service, and in the evenings, a local band is brought in to accompany dinner and cocktails. Truly creative chef sets Varadero a head and shoulders above the rest.
